Florian discovered his love of composing as a twelve-year-old locked in his bedroom with a guitar, synths and a computer. He emerged from his childhood to play in bands in both Sweden and Montreal, before exploring his interest in indie-orchestral music with his project Maison Brume in his twenties. Florian’s music evolved as he travelled the world and spent time living in Canada and Sweden. In Montreal, he immersed himself in the gritty underground music scene, while in Sweden he discovered an appreciation of simplicity, silence and nature.

Shining through Florian’s work is his indie sensibility, with influences such as the films of Sofia Coppola, Spike Jonze and Michel Gondry peeking through in his cinematic style. Florian brings his own personal voice to all his work, but his music is always written to service the visual story, to bring the director’s vision to life. Florian regularly collaborates with string orchestras. In 2019, 2022, and 2023, he recorded several of his compositions in the prestigious Abbey Road and AIR Studios in London. Florian recently established his studio in the city of Lyon while working with clients across the world.
